The musical was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Musical. Its styles include Gospel, Folk, Country, Rock, and Rhythm and Blues.

This production of THE CIVIL WAR will be very special and will have a strong emotional impact on all of us.  Aside from the dramatic content, this show will be a celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Showbiz Players and it will also be our final show. This production will be totally restaged and reimagined from our earlier versions (2002 & 2006). The most thrilling part for us is that Frank Wildhorn, himself, will be providing a new song for our production! He has also granted permission for us to make changes in the script, so that we truly can make this a brand new experience for everyone involved.

We are very excited to end our 30-year run with a show that means so much to so many long-time members of the Showbiz Players! Thank you to our wonderful community for your ongoing support throughout the years and we look forward to celebrating our final season with all of you!
